What are your qualifications as a coach?
In addition to my formal training in the science of human behavior and psychology, I am a Certified Professional Coach and Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner. My coach training was through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching, which is accredited by the International Coach Federation (and even the National Association of Social Workers, among others). Since starting the program, I have completed over 200 hours of training and practice as a coach specializing in life purpose.
For the past six years, I have worked in psychology and applied-psychology research. My research work involved positive psychology (forgiveness, humility, and relationships), multicultural health psychology (family dynamics and personal strengths), and ADHD interventions. Before transitioning as a full-time coach, I used my applied psychology research skills as a Project Manager working with some of the largest brands in the world, including Herbal Essences, Nintendo, Citi Bank, and Old Spice.
Beyond resume experience and the tens of thousands of dollars I’ve invested in my own growth, what I bring to my clients is a deep belief in their potential and a radical sense of empathy. My coaching style is to empower my clients to feel increasingly confident in their ability to change their own lives. And when I encounter clients that could benefit from a mental health professional or different coach, I don’t hesitate to refer them to someone else.
